Terrie Bennett has worked as a professional sculptor for more than twenty five years. She first started working in the bronze foundry business with her father world renowned sculptor Tom Bennett. Working as his apprentice she studied composition, form and the technique of creating three dimensional sketches in wire.
Terrie was one of the first sculptors to focus primarily on marine mammals in the early 1980’s, quickly establishing herself as one of the top marine artists in Hawaii and the Western United States.
Today, her artistic focus is on creating sculptural images that evoke thought and inspire change. Through meditation and present moment awareness she is guided to create uplifting sculpture that embraces hope, peace and a deep caring for the earth ands all of it’s inhabitants.
